Overview

Resource Manager is a Shopify app operated by Oru Studio. The app helps Shopify merchants create folder-based resource libraries, upload files, and display those resources on an Online Store 2.0 storefront through a theme app block and Shopify app proxy.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Resource Manager collects, how it is used, how it is shared, and how merchants can request access, correction, or deletion.

Information We Collect

When a merchant installs or uses Resource Manager, we may collect and process the following information:

• Shopify store information, including the shop domain and app installation details.
• Shopify authentication and session information needed to keep the app connected to the merchant's store, including access tokens, granted scopes, session state, locale, user ID, name, email, account owner status, collaborator status, and email verification status where Shopify provides it during authentication.
• App plan and billing status, including the selected Resource Manager plan, subscription name, subscription status, and whether the store has an active Shopify App Pricing subscription. Payment details are handled by Shopify and are not collected by Resource Manager.
• Merchant-created resource data, including folder names, parent folder relationships, file names, file extensions, MIME types, file sizes, upload timestamps, update timestamps, stored file paths, and the uploaded files themselves.
• Technical and security information, such as request timestamps, requested URLs, IP addresses, browser or user agent details, error logs, and server logs generated when merchants use the app or when storefront visitors load or download storefront resources.

Resource Manager does not request Shopify customer, order, product, inventory, payment, or checkout data. The app's Shopify access scope is limited to the permission needed to configure and serve the app proxy.

Storefront Visitors

When a merchant adds the Resource Manager theme app block to their storefront, visitors may view and download files that the merchant has uploaded and made available through the storefront resource library. Resource Manager does not require visitors to create an account, log in, or provide personal information to use the storefront resource block.

Technical request information may be processed when a visitor loads the resource block or downloads a file, such as IP address, browser details, requested file URL, and timestamp. This information is used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

Merchants should only upload files that they intend to make available to storefront visitors. Resource Manager is not intended for storing confidential customer data, payment information, private health information, government identifiers, or other highly sensitive information.

How We Use Information

We use the information collected through Resource Manager to:

• Authenticate merchants and operate the embedded Shopify admin app.
• Create, store, organize, display, and delete resource folders and files for each store.
